From my personal collection is this special MIB c.1956-57 MLW Ginny "June." June was part of Ginny's 12-Star Plan offered to members of the Ginny doll club. Members received an outfit each month for one year. This MIB doll is very RARE and in a labeled box with catalog number. I have never seen another such example in the original box, so unsure if this was a special production doll for the 12-Star plan or maybe she was a dealer sample. Either way, she's very rare and a unique doll.
Ginny "June" is a straight leg walker in excellent vintage condition with dark blue eyes, brown painted brows (her left brow is lightening on its outer edge), rosy blush, and brightly painted rosy pink lips. Her eyes do need to be opened manually, though her head moves nicely from side to side when I move her legs back and forth. Her hair is nicely tied into a ponytail tied with a pink bow. I do not think it has been combed, though the ends are a little frizzy. (I think this is original to her though based on other dolls in my collection.) There is a small pimple or bubble (noticeable only by feeling or looking closely) on her left cheek area which may have been caused by the manufacturing process.
June's Vogue Dolls Inc. tagged outfit consists of a minty crisp pink coral taffeta dress with lace-trimmed organdy bib collar and matching trim around the skirt, and a black velvet ribbon at the waist. Matching taffeta loopy panties and correct white open-weave hat with with black velvet ribbon. White socks and signature Ginny white shoes with heel.
The box is correctly marked “June” #5001 and in fairly good vintage condition with only a repair to inside cardboard insert and a torn/scuffed lid. Came with Ginny catalog (water stained).
