Lovely Gene Marshall "Savannah" is the epitome of a southern belle!  The doll was introduced by Ashton Drake in 1999 and retired in 2001. Savannah has dark brunette hair, cascading in ringlets and her signature dramatic side glancing eyes. The costume for "Savannah" was designed by Katie McHale, a winner of the Ashton-Drake Young Designers of America Student Competition. It includes an elegant off-the-shoulder gown, with full length cafe colored underskirt accented by a celery green full length train that suggests a bustle in the back and topped with a sash ribbon bow, and a short apron overskirt in front decorated with gathered ribbons and ribbon rosettes. The bodice features a white organza gathered ruffle embroidered with white braiding and crocheted with pink roses and green leaves.  Completing the outfit are faux pearl earrings, green ribbon sandals and cream colored ribbon rosettes for Gene's dark hair. I purchased her years ago and she has never been displayed. She comes new, mint and includes her small wrist card, large story card and numbered COA. She will be mailed in her original shipper carton.
