This beautiful 1965 BKW Madame Alexander Scarlett #785 is one of the prettiest costumes made for the "Gone With The Wind" series and RARELY seen for sale. She is pre-owned and in overall nice vintage condition.  Miss Scarlett has dark  green eyes, beautiful pale porcelain complexion and original triple-stitched tightly rolled brunette flip with bangs. Her walker works, but her knees are stiff, so I didn't force them to bend.  Scarlett is dressed in a lovely creamy ivory colored taffeta full-skirted gown from the opening sequence of the movie. Her tagged ivory gown is trimmed in tiny dark green rickrack, dainty lace, and pale pink rosebuds, with an avocado green satin ribbon sash. The gown is tagged: “Scarlett O’Hara // by Madame Alexander ® // New York, U.S.A” and still retains it's crispness, though it has some creasing/wrinkling from storage.  On her head, she wears a stunning large natural-straw sunbonnet with matching pink roses with matching olive green satin ribbon streamers down her back. Under her gown, Scarlett wears a full petticoat with an extra ruffle of netting sewn inside the hemline to give it fullness (waist elastic stretched), pantalets with two rows of lace at the hems (waist is stretched). Black suedecloth slip-on shoes with gold beads and fine nylon knit socks.  A picture of this rare Alexander-kin can be found on page 164 of "The World of Alexander-kins" by Patricia Smith.   Click the link below to see larger collage view of this pretty vintage doll.
