Lovely 1953-56 Madame Alexander-kins with dark blonde hair, sleep eyes, painted lower lashes, and rosy cheeks.  Wendy is a straight-leg, non-walker in minty vintage condition.  She is wearing a tagged, crisp, black and red floral-print variation of the "Pinafore Dress" with a red taffeta under-dress and matching lace-trimmed panties, white socks and black side-snap fuzzy shoes with fuzzy bottoms. The pinafore criss-crosses in the back and ties with a bow.  On her head, she wears a black straw hat with red flowers and black grosgrain ribbon trim. The Pinafore dress variations came in a variety of prints and color combinations and are described on pg. 48 of The World of Alexander-kins by Patricia Smith. A darling and minty Alexander-kins that will make a wonderful addition to your collection!
