Beautiful, c. 1950s MIB 7.5" Andrea Stashin doll Type #1 from the Stashin Doll Company. Andrea is a 7.5" hard plastic doll with sleep eyes and painted lashes. Similar to the Cosmopolitan Ginger type #1 doll from the same era. Andrea has a golden blonde wig with soft curls, rosy cheeks, crystal blue eyes and the classic "maroon" painted eyelashes and brows. Her body is clean, arms hold a pose, her legs move, but her head doesn't turn.
She wears her minty, tagged lavender/pink nylon dress with gold stripes and "p" pattern round metal snap in back, decorated with an attached spray of white flowers on the front. The dress has an attached starched muslin petticoat and the signature folded tag attached to the waist seam. Under her dress are original knit panties with lace trim. Matching lavender/pink felt hat trimmed in gold, pink socks and vintage white centershap shoes (one strap is broken).
The outfit also came in blue and details about this doll and outfit can be found on pgs 178-185 of Small Dolls of the 40s-50s by Carol J. Stover. A rare doll to find in such beautiful condition! Comes in original red and white striped box.
